Letter from the Principal, Vision, Motto & Mission

Letter from the Principal:

It is my pleasure to welcome all of our families and students to another exciting and worthwhile year at Mountain View Elementary School. We will be working together during the coming year to meet our shared objective of striving for the success of our children, both academically and socially. The staff at Mountain View Elementary recognizes the uniqueness of each child and will meet student needs through a variety of instructional methods. Our focus will continue to be providing a program that is both stimulating and challenging and full of high expectations. Meaningful professional development will be provided to our teachers throughout the upcoming year. Quality teaching will continue to be the norm at our school. It is well known that shared accountability is also needed for the success of our children. You can help by becoming involved with the school and your child’s education in particular. You are the most significant person influencing your child’s educational success.

Many school committees will plan, assess, and monitor the progress of our instructional program. You are a vital part of this process and every effort will be made to facilitate your involvement. This is your school. Please join the team!!!

We can all look forward to many wonderful adventures this year. Please know that we encourage and welcome you to be a part of the numerous successes at our school.

Respectfully,

Sara Carrillo
Principal

Mountain View Staff and parents will effectively prepare our children to live in the world of the 21st century. The principal, staff, and parents envision our school as a place of growth which will prepare the whole child intellectually, emotionally, socially, ethically, physically, and culturally. Our school is a place where individual needs are recognized so that every member of our school may experience success within an atmosphere of warmth, mutual respect, and caring. This will be conveyed to all who walk through our doors.
