Testing

The State of New Mexico and the Albuquerque Public Schools mandate that a number of tests be given to students. This is done so that we may assess the progress of our students. Also, there are times when the school personnel feel that an individual student should be tested in order to provide a program more suitable to the child’s needs.

Title 1 Reading Program

Mountain View’s Title 1 targeted assistance program is a combination of cost replacement and intervention pull out or push-in. The Title 1 staff works with students in small groups to provide additional support in reading. The Title 1 staff works closely with classroom teachers in identifying students who need support. Title 1 also supports reading and math software programs that students use.

Visitors

Our school community is always welcome to visit our school and classrooms. All visitors must first report to the office. All visitors are required to wear a visitor badge.  Report all strangers in the halls and on the playground. Please question people that do not belong on our campus. No middle or high school students are allowed on campus during schools hours (8:30a.m.-3:45p.m.), unless granted special permission from the principal. Pre-school siblings and relatives, such as cousins, should remain at home.
