Environmental STEM in the Heart of the South Valley

At Mountain View Elementary School, students explore science, technology, and the environment through hands-on learning that connects them to the rich agricultural heritage of Albuquerque's South Valley. As part of the Sustaining the Future K-12 Pathway, students learn how sustainability, conservation, and innovation can help shape a better tomorrow.

As both a STEM magnet and community school, Mountain View offers engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences, including a school garden, Project Lead The Way curriculum and growing STEM learning spaces. Students also have the opportunity to learn in both Spanish and English through the school's Heritage Bilingual Program, strengthening academic skills while honoring culture, language, and community.
